During the early morning hours on May 23, 2020, firefighters respond to 4 alarm fire on San Francisco’s Pier 45. The Memorial Day weekend fire destroyed a quarter of the pier as well as a couple buildings.
The SS Jerimiah O’Brian, which was docked at the pier, was saved by the quick work of fireboats.
