ABOUT MOOSE BOATS, LLC

In 2000, Roger Fleck, industrial designer, founder and president of Moose Boats, started an aluminum catamaran boat building company at Port Sonoma Marina in Petaluma, California, where he oversaw the design and construction of patrol, law enforcement, fire and rescue and military vessels for various agencies including U.S. Park Police, U.S. Navy, Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, and San Francisco Police Department. Moose Boats has also provided catamarans for agencies across the country: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Delaware and Virginia. The name of the company came from Roger’s wife and company CFO, Catherine Fleck, who described the original boat as, “Big and robust, like a moose.”

In 2016, Lind Marine, Inc., a commercial marine services company, acquired Moose Boats and relocated its operations to a 5-acre shipyard and dry dock on Mare Island in Vallejo, California.

Christian Lind, CEO

Christian Lind has served as President of Lind Marine since 2000 and has over 30 years of operating and leadership experience in the maritime industry. Christian, along with his brother Aaron, represents third generation Lind family management and is primarily focused on the commercial development and expansion of the business.

Stephen Dirkes, General Manager

Stephen Dirkes is the General Manager and has been with Moose Boats since 2014.

Ken Royal, VP Sales

Ken Royal is the Vice President of Sales. As a former firefighter with the Tiburon Fire Protection District, Ken Royal has logged in 15 years aboard two Moose Boat catamarans and has trained other operators on these boats. Ken’s boat handling training curriculum was adopted by Cal Maritime Extension Program where he taught for over 8 years as an adjunct instructor.
